E-session of Candace & Kevin

Posted under Portraits by Yunfei on Monday 6 October 2008 at 7:36 pm

Candace and Kevin are a very sweet and outgoing couple. I met Candace in university and became good friends. I met Kevin on Candace’s “End-of-the-Quarter Party”. The party has been going on every major quarter in school. We’ve had many good times.

I had fun with Candace and Kevin during the engagment session. Candace is more photogenic than other people I have met.  Kevin wasn’t very relaxed during the shoot, but we had some nice photos thanks to his effort. :)

They will be married on October 10, 2008. Congratulations!

Barn doors, not for your Barn though.

Barn DoorWhat the duck is barn doors for strobists? Yep, this is what I asked about barn door one year ago. A barn door is used on Fresnel lantern or spot light in film production or theater. However, we also can totally use a barn door to keep all your horses, piggies, chickens, lamas, etc. in your barn as a very handy snoot or grid. It can even gives you ability to modify the shape of the light beam by adjusting its four flaps.

I have placed the order for a SP Studio Systems barn door on Adorama about two month ago along with a Sankdisk8G CF III. It only cost me $9.95 with shipping What a deal! It seems that it is even more cost effective than DIY. They were both out of stock at the time when I placed the order. The CF card arrived last month, and the barn door arrived about four days ago. I didn’t get a chance to play with it at its arrival till two days ago at a friend’s sister’s birthday party (I have to say that was the biggest birthday party I have ever been to. There were more than 200 people celebrating!). Now I am going to introduce this guy to who are not very familiar with barn doors.

Stroblog is born.

Today, my long planned blog is born. It took me all day to do research on setting the web host and the blog up.

My organic chemistry lab report is due tomorrow, but my unknown compound haven’t been succssfully identified. Frustration and anger of being given false information by a temporary and careless TA really messed my little butt smart head. I don;t have any class today, which means that hanging out and having bears with my friends going over all my chapter notes and finding more information about my unknown are what I am supposed to do. However, I have spent all day to set up my blog. X_X
